Gerbang Desa – Hasil padi para petani di Desa Bajarum, Kecamatan Kota Besi, Kabupaten Kotawaringin Timur (Kotim), Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah (Kaltrng), cukup berlimpah. selama setahun mampu panen tiga kali.
Kepala Desa Bajarum Hadriansyah mengatakan, petani padi tidak hanya menanam satu varietas unggul bahkan ada beberapa varietas lainnya.
“Varietas unggul misalnya ampari 30 dan hibrida, selama satu tahun bisa panen tiga kali,” ujarnya, kemarin.
Selain itu, lanjutnya, petani padi juga menanam varietas unggul nasional seperti kabir 07. Varietas ini, kata Hadri, merupakan padi unggul dari Aceh.
‘Alhamdulillah, untuk sekali panen cukup berlimpah bahkan para penampung cukup kewalahan untuk memasarkan,” ucap Hadri.
Mengenai pemasaran, tambahnya, pihak desa membantu membuat kemasan tersendiri. Kemasan beras itu diberi nama “Jembatan Mentaya” produksi petani Desa Bajarum.
“Pemasaran masih tingkat lokal. Kami berharap Pemkab Kotim melalui dinas terkait membantu pemasaran lebih luas lagi karena hasil padi di desa kami sangat berlimpah,” pungkasnya. (gd-min)
